Training on Silvicultural techniques for local community in Thang Loc Commune. 26/03/2026 admin The project “Strengthening disaster resilience of watershed forest communities”, funded by Bread for the World (BftW) with counterpart contributions from the Thanh Hoa Provincial People’s Committee, has been implemented by CORENACCA from October 2024 to September 2027. The project aims to reduce disaster risk exposure and strengthen agriculture livelihoods for local communities in Luan Thanh and Thang Loc Communes. Under the direction and supervision of the Thanh Hoa Provincial Union of Science and Technology Associations (VUSTA), CORENACCA has achieved positive results in line with its planned objectives in the first 02 years of implementation. Recently, over five days (March 16–18 and March 23–24, 2026), CORENACCA collaborated with local authorities to successfully organize training session on silvicultural techniques. The training aimed to enrich 250 hectares of protection forest, with the participation of households who received forest protection contracts. The training tsessions were conducted across five project villages in Thắng Lộc commune (Tân Thọ, Xương, Én, Vành, and Quẻ), attracting 195 farmer representatives from participating households, including 86 women and 109 men. Female participation reached 44.1%. The training was well received, with content considered clear, practical, and suitable to local conditions. As a result, 100% of participants gained a better understanding of the project’s objectives and activities, and the importance of forests in water resource protection and disaster risk reduction. The community demonstrated strong engagement and willingness to take part in upcoming advanced training on silvicultural techniques, and practical application of forest enrichment methods in the near future.
